August came and went so quickly! It feels like summer slipped right through my fingers. We didn’t have nearly as many hot days as I had hoped, which meant less pool time than usual. Still, between iced coffees, cozy (quiet) evenings, and soaking up the sunshine we did get, I found plenty of new discoveries and old favorites that made this month extra sweet. Here’s what stood out to me in August:
Beauty Favorites
New Finds I Loved:

- Kulfi Lip Stain in Sweet – The perfect lip tint for everyday wear. Natural-looking, buildable, and long-lasting. I love that it’s not sticky or drying on the lip.
- *Laura Mercier Setting Spray – A total makeup saver. Locks everything in with a natural finish that isn’t sticky or tight. This was gifted, but I’m so obsessed i think I’ll repurchase it. I love the spray because it sprays a fine mist continuously.
Staples I Reached for Again:
- Dior Forever Skin Foundation Stick – My ride-or-die base. It blends seamlessly, is buildable, and always leaves my skin looking fresh and polished without feeling heavy. I just repurchased this as I was scraping the last one out of the packaging.
- Merit Clean Lash Mascara – Minimalist, lengthening, and smudge-proof—an effortless everyday staple. I’ve purchased so many of these.
- Ouai Styling Cream – A hair hero for taming frizz and adding just the right amount of polish without weighing my hair down. I’m a forever fan of this product, especially if I’m air drying my hair.
Book Favorites
- These Summer Storms by Sarah MacLean – Crazy dramatic, full of wealth, privilege, and problems money can’t solve. Also, there is a romance! Buy on Bookshop.org/Amazon
- The Boys of Tommen Series (so far) by Chloe Walsh – I cannot stop thinking about this series. Emotional, addictive, and full of characters I’ve completely fallen for. Please note that it is pretty heavy with mentions of abuse, etc. Buy on Bookshop.org/Amazon
- The Condition of Will by Jessa Hastings – I’m not even finished yet, but I can already tell this is going to be one of my absolute favorite reads of the month. I am flying through it and can’t put it down. Buy on Bookshop.org/Amazon
Lifestyle & Little Joys
- H&M Crop Pull-On Pants – So comfortable and such a good excuse to finally put away the leggings and wear these instead.
- Starbucks Fall Menu – The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew returned, and my seasonal coffee heart is happy.
- Family Moments – We surprised my aunt for her birthday with a dinner, and it was one of those memory-making days that reminded me to slow down and be present.
- Car Wash Membership – This might sound simple, but it honestly brings me so much joy. Having a clean car anytime I want feels like such a little luxury.
- Backyard Refresh – I gave some of our containers a seasonal update with fresh flowers for “fall,” and it’s such a mood-lifter every time I step outside.
- Target Candle Finds – I picked up a couple of new candles, and Midnight Pumpkin and Marshmallow Suede are the ones I can’t stop burning. They make the whole house feel cozy and ready for fall.
Wrapping Up August
August was a step in the right direction as I am so excited to be heading towards fall. I read some amazing books, got some down time that was much needed, and just overall enjoyed my month.
